The BPT Team

  • Headshot of Brittany, physical therapist at Burlington Physical Therapy.

    Brittany Annis, Co-Founder

Brittany earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy alongside Sarah at Ithaca College in 2011. Before co-founding Burlington Physical Therapy, Britt worked in high-volume outpatient clinics in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, where she also served as a Clinical Director, gaining extensive experience in both patient care and leadership.

An unassuming nerd at heart, Britt genuinely loves learning and continually seeks to deepen her clinical expertise. She earned her Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist designation in 2014 and is currently working toward becoming a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT).

Outside of the clinic, Brittany enjoys running, yoga, reading, and soaking up time with her wife, their busy toddler, their pup, and a small flock of well-loved chickens.

  • Headshot of Sarah L, physical therapist at Burlington Physical Therapy.

    Sarah Livingston, Co-Founder

Sarah is a native Vermonter who earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Ithaca College in 2011. Prior to co-founding Burlington Physical Therapy with Brittany, she worked in a home health setting, where she developed a strong foundation in whole-person, functional care. Sarah is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and has additional training in dry needling and blood flow restriction therapy.

While Sarah still works directly with clients through bike fits and cycling-focused care, she now spends much of her time behind the scenes growing the business and supporting the team. To say she enjoys biking is an understatement — she works with the majority of cyclists who come through the clinic. Outside of work, Sarah is embracing life with her new little one and enjoys camping and hiking with her wife and their pups.

  • Headshot of Sarah P, physical therapist at Burlington Physical Therapy.

    Sarah Perryman (she/her), Physical Therapist

Sarah genuinely cares about her clients and their progress, bringing a thoughtful, steady approach to care that often goes above and beyond — both in sessions and behind the scenes at the clinic. She’s known for her willingness to step in, help out, and ensure each client feels supported throughout their rehab journey.

Sarah earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University in 2018 before relocating to Vermont to work in outpatient orthopedics. She became a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2022 and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA. In addition, Sarah is trained in dry needling, which she integrates into care when appropriate.

An athlete at heart, Sarah enjoys staying active through skiing, mountain biking, lifting, and hiking. She grew up ski racing in Michigan and competed collegiately at Clarkson University, where she served as team captain. She also has a background in CrossFit. Outside the clinic, Sarah is balancing life as a new mom to a busy toddler and can often be found adventuring with Kona, her rescue border collie, who generally joins her in the clinic and loves mountain biking, backcountry skiing, and frisbee.

  • KC (Bruch) Carey (she/her), Physical Therapist

KC earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Vermont in 2020 and has been a personal trainer since 2015. Most recently, she became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), further solidifying her expertise in strength-based rehab and performance training.

With this background, it’s no surprise that KC is passionate about bridging the gap between rehabilitation and strength & conditioning. Her mission is to empower athletes to take ownership of their physical, mental, and social well-being — and to build resilient bodies that support both performance goals and long-term health.

KC is an avid CrossFitter and former multi-sport athlete, having competed in volleyball, track and field, and lacrosse. And while she’s humble about it… word on the street is she has a pretty mean pickleball game

  • Headshot of Rachael, physical therapist at Burlington Physical Therapy.

    Rachael Wheeler, Physical Therapist

Rachael brings a wealth of knowledge to our clinic as a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and former educational mentor at her previous employer, where she worked for seven years. Known for her clear communication and thoughtful treatment plans, Rachael takes pride in helping clients understand their bodies and feel confident in their path forward. Her transparent, steady approach has made her a trusted provider and leader among both clients and colleagues.

She’s an avid learner who’s excited to work in a proactive care model. When not in the clinic, Rachael enjoys spending time with her family, perfecting her golf game, and exploring with her Newfoundland, Mosley. Rachael will be out on maternity leave from February through April and will return to the clinic in May.

  • Headshot of Grace Anne, admin at Burlington Physical Therapy.

    Teddy Zabel, Physical Therapist

Teddy brings a unique blend of advanced orthopedic expertise, personalized care, and a deep commitment to helping people move better and live pain-free. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy after completing his undergraduate degree at Ithaca College, then further specialized as a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.

Before joining Burlington PT, Teddy owned and operated his own practice in Hawaii, where he treated a wide range of patients — from weekend warriors to Olympic and professional athletes — and developed a mobile orthotics lab to fabricate custom orthotic solutions on the spot. His advanced training also includes a strong focus on spine and low-back injuries, informed both by professional coursework and his own experience rehabbing a significant back injury.

As an Ithaca College alum alongside our owners, we’re thrilled to have him bring his clinical skill — and collaborative spirit — to our team.

  • Alice McEnaney, Admin

Alice is often the first friendly voice you’ll hear when connecting with Burlington Physical Therapy. A Vermont native with prior experience working in a physical therapy clinic, she brings a strong understanding of patient care, scheduling, and communication — all delivered with warmth, energy, and a genuine desire to help.

Outside of the clinic, Alice stays busy as a mom of three boys and an active member of the CrossFit Burlington community. She’s deeply involved locally, volunteering with Meals on Wheels and serving as an assistant field hockey coach at CVU. Clients can expect clear communication, a welcoming presence, and a positive experience from the moment they reach out.
